After my little trip in Hong Kong, I crossed the border with Mainland China to get to the border town of Shenzhen.
Shenzhen is a recent megalopolis, which has exploded these last twenty years, basing its economy on high technology companies.
I chose to go through Shenzhen because last year, I met some friends working in Shenzhen during my trip to China, and it was an opportunity for me to see them again around a hotpot (Chinese fondue).
In the evening, we watched the buildings of the city light up.
The next day, I went to the Splendid China & China Folk Culture Village Park where I was able to discover miniatures of the main monuments in China as well as traditional habitats of the different Chinese ethnic groups, and also to watch some performances revolving around Chinese culture.
