Our second stop in Thailand was the seaside resort of Ao Nang, relatively close to Koh Lanta, which we reached by minibus.
In order to move around more easily, we rented a scooter again to visit the surroundings and in particular the city of Krabi (of the same name that the province where Ao Nang, Krabi and Koh Lanta are located).
On weekends, the city of Krabi offers a night market, but it looked small to us compared to those that we had previously seen in Taiwan or Vietnam.
We were also able to discover Khao Phanom Bencha, a national park in which we hiked through the surrounding jungle.
During our stay, we also had the opportunity to visit Wat Tham Suea, also called the Tiger Cave Temple, a Buddhist temple built on the mountainside.
After climbing over 1200 steps, one can find golden Buddhas and a panoramic view of the surrounding areas.
As we particularly enjoyed our boat trip in Koh Lanta, we decided to retry the adventure in Ao Nang to discover the surrounding islands.
Unfortunately, the snorkeling we did was not as fun as the one we did in Koh Lanta (especially because the equipment was not of very good quality).
However, the landscapes were magnificent and the weather was good, which ensured us a pleasing trip.
