During our previous trip to Taiwan, we had not visited the east coast of the country, and it was with pleasure that we discovered the city of Hualien and the Gorges of Taroko.
Hualien is a seaside town, quite calm at the time we were there, but which is effervescent in summer.
Generally, people come to Hualien in order to discover Taroko national park and its gorges.
The park is particularly large and has many points of interest, and it is impossible to connect these different points on foot. We therefore decided to take the different buses in the park, which drived our schedule (only about one bus every 45 minutes)..
One of the most impressive place in the park is Swallow Grotto and its vertiginous cliffs.
We also hiked to the village of Dali, nestled into the mountains and almost deserted.
